Here we go….. I stopped to take a picture. This is rare because I usually did not stop to do anything that wasn’t absolutely necessary during fiberglassing because of time constraints with mixed resin. I felt it was worth the a few extra seconds here to document how this is done. Note that the glass mat is wrapped around onto the hull. It can stick up off the top of the transom because you can cut off the extra later. Wet out the back of the hull, lay on the glass mat, then apply more resin (dabbing with a brush), then roll out the resin with a roller, and then install your first beam. This is no time for a coffee break.
